Anyone who regularly uses external/liquid scalp care products knows the problem.

You measure the liquid, try to push your hair aside, apply a few drops – and most of it ends up in your hair, runs down your forehead, or simply disappears where it belongs. You *think* you've applied the full dose, but only a portion has reached your scalp (and the rest remains trapped between your hair and has no effect).

And that is precisely where the real bottleneck lies for many people.

Rootique Duo is neither a treatment nor a medicine.

It is an application device: it does not solve the problem of what you use, but how you use it.

What the Rootique Duo is

The Rootique Duo is a rechargeable scalp application device that applies a liquid solution for hair loss as a fine mist to the scalp while holding the hair aside. It improves the absorption of products such as minoxidil or other liquid hair lotions and serums.

Rootique uses two systems for this:

  • DuoTrace : This innovative attachment automatically separates and guides long hairs to the side during use. The result? Maximum precision, a smooth finish, and a flawless, hassle-free experience.

  • IntelliMist : The nebulizer that atomizes the liquid into ultra-fine particles to ensure maximum absorption.

The intention is simple: to get the liquid (medical or non-medical) onto the scalp and not into the hair.

An overview of Rootique's features

  1. Fine micro-mist instead of droplets. The device atomizes the liquid into a mist. This reduces the active ingredients to approximately 0.005 mm fine micromolecules, which, according to the manufacturer, are absorbed up to 3.5 times better. The mist also ensures better distribution and significantly less waste.

  2. Fixed dose of 1 ml per cycle. The device measures and dispenses one milliliter per application, signals the delivery of this amount, and then pauses. Each application is therefore repeatable: same dose, same method, same routine.

  3. One hand, approximately 15 seconds. The application was deliberately kept simple – this is an important detail, because a routine that is too complicated will sooner or later no longer be sustainable.

  4. 5 ml water tank, up to 40 uses per charge. More than enough for daily use between charges.

  5. Integrated red LED light (650–660 nm). Rootique describes this as an additional feature for the scalp that is integrated and active with every use.

The real benefits (precise and efficient application of minoxidil)

The remedy goes where it belongs.

When using a conventional pipette, especially in people with thick hair, a lot of liquid ends up on the hair shaft.

It makes the hair wet or sticky at that point, but a few centimeters away from the scalp it has hardly any effect. This device, on the other hand, directs the liquid much more precisely onto the scalp.

Consistent dosage. Using a pipette almost always results in a slightly different amount: what stays in the pipette, what runs off, and what ends up on the hair. The fixed 1 ml dose eliminates this guesswork.

It becomes easier to persevere.

This is the often underestimated point. For long-term skincare routines, it's not so much the product choice that's crucial, but rather consistent application. A clean, 15-second application lowers the barrier to daily use.

Because a product that stays in the bottle or sticks to the hair is ultimately useless.

What the duo is not

To avoid disappointment, we want to be completely transparent here: The Rootique Duo is not a hair growth product .

It is a tool that makes your existing hair care routine more precise and efficient in its application of minoxidil.

Better application doesn't make an ineffective tool effective – but it can certainly help a well-chosen routine reach its full potential.

Furthermore, based on its own controlled tests, Rootique reports a finer particle size and higher absorption capacity compared to manual application.

This is a manufacturer's statement, not a personal promise – individual results depend on hair density, scalp condition and the formula used.

Which liquid do you use?

Important to know: A nebulizer only works well with a thin solution – either water-based or alcohol/glycol-based.

Which serum solutions are ineffective?

Thick serums, formulations containing oils, silicones or thickeners have no place in a nebulizer: they clog the system.
