A faulty execution
Not every clinic delivers the same level of craftsmanship. A poorly performed transplant can lead to an unnaturally straight or too low hairline, visible individual strands of hair (the 'doll hair effect'), irregular density, or clearly visible scars in the donor area at the back of the head. Particularly with the older FUT (strip) technique, a long horizontal scar remains and becomes visible as soon as you wear your hair short. -
Further hair loss after the transplant
This is the most underestimated cause. A transplant relocates existing hair but does not stop the underlying hair loss. Years later, the original hair around the transplant can continue to thin, isolating the transplanted area. The result then looks unnatural: an island of hair on an otherwise bald scalp, or a hairline that no longer matches your age and face shape.
